Summerjam 2024: A Celebration of Caribbean Culture & Music

8 DAYS TO GO!

From July 5th to 7th, Fühlinger See in Cologne will transform into a vibrant hub of Reggae, Dancehall and Hip-Hop. The 37th edition of the Summerjam Festival, under the motto “Lost in Good Vibes” will host tens of thousands of music lovers, offering a weekend of unforgettable moments away from the stresses of everyday life.

This year’s lineup features top artists such as Beenie Man, Busy Signal, Ky-Mani Marley, Steel Pulse, and the “African Giant” Burna Boy. Additionally, entertainers like Sido, Rin, Julian Marley, Skillibeng, Konshens, Lila Iké, Jesse Royal, and many more will bring their unique sounds to the stage.

Dancehall Ketch Up will feature this year’s edition for the first time, hosted by none other than Famous, a legendary Jamaican dancer from Colo Squad. Together with other Jamaicans we hope to see around, we will interview the masses, fans, and artists, discussing the influence of dancehall music on different genres. Moreover, we will analyze the festival’s impact on promoting Caribbean culture globally. A key aspect of our coverage will be our unique perspective on the role of dancers, especially since Famous is a renowned dancer. We look forward to observing, analyzing, and discussing the importance of having authentic dancers perform. We will be reporting live from the festival, capturing impressions from both a Jamaican and European perspective. Our coverage will be broadcast partly live on all our channels – keep an eye out on our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok channels.
