The countdown is officially on! Reggae Jam 2026 is just around the corner, and Bersenbrück is getting ready to welcome Reggae, Dancehall and Sound System lovers from near and far.
From July 23rd to 26th 2026, the festival returns as one of Germany’s long-standing meeting points for Jamaican music and culture. Founded in 1994, Reggae Jam has grown over more than 30 years from its early beginnings into an internationally respected festival known for its community spirit, live music, sound system culture and deep connection to reggae.
This year’s line-up once again reflects the wide spectrum of Jamaican music and its global reach. Roots Reggae, Lovers Rock, Rub-a-Dub, Dancehall, Dub and modern international influences all meet in one place, bringing together different generations, sounds and stories.
With names such as Tarrus Riley, Alborosie & Shengen Clan, Inner Circle, Queen Omega, Konshens, T.O.K, Demarco, Stylo G, General Levy, Dean Fraser, Echo Minott, King Kong, Skarra Mucci & Manudigital, Yeza, Ammoye, Samora and Zoe Mazah, Reggae Jam 2026 offers something for both reggae lovers and dancehall fans.
What makes the line-up especially interesting is the balance between legends and current voices. Artists such as Inner Circle, Dean Fraser, Echo Minott and King Kong represent important chapters of Jamaican music history, while Konshens, Demarco, Stylo G and Yeza show how reggae and dancehall continue to move, evolve and connect with audiences around the world.
While excitement for the festival is building, there is also a sad shadow over this year’s edition. Fantan Mojah, who was originally part of the Reggae Jam 2026 line-up, passed away on July 14, 2026 in Kingston, Jamaica. For many reggae fans, he was a voice full of fire, spirituality and conscious energy. An artist deeply rooted in message, Rastafari culture and the power of Roots Reggae. His name on the line-up had created great anticipation; now his presence will be felt in a different way. Reggae Jam 2026 will also become a moment of remembrance for an artist who touched the global reggae community.

Dancehall Ketch Up & Reggae Jam
It will be our first time entering the Reggae Jam field and as usual, we want to go beyond the stage performances. We are especially interested in the atmosphere on the ground: the crowd, the conversations, the movement, the connection between artists and audience and the way reggae and Dancehall culture are lived in a European festival setting.
While larger festivals are often defined by headliners and big crowds, Reggae Jam has long been known for its community feeling, musical depth and closeness to the culture. That is where some of the most interesting stories can be found: Who has been travelling to Bersenbrück for years? Which artists are people most excited to see? Which songs connect generations? And how much dancehall energy will be felt between roots, dub and live band moments?
