Summerjam 2026: Authentic Jamaican Culture Takes Over

Two weeks to go until Summerjam 2026 takes over Cologne’s FΓΌhlinger See and this year’s motto says it all: β€œCatch the Sun.”

And you already know Dancehall Ketch Up is coming to ketch more than that.

From July 3 to 5, 2026, Summerjam Festival will once again take over Cologne’s FΓΌhlinger See, bringing together Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop and global sounds. With a lineup including names such as Spice, Valiant, Charly Black, Dexta Daps, Masicka, Koffee, Lila IkΓ©, Protoje, Burning Spear, Barrington Levy, Julian Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, Patoranking, Kybba, Leftside and many more, the festival promises another weekend full of music, culture and international energy.

We’re coming to ketch the culture, the crowd, the food, the fashion, the dancers, the flags, the voices, the basslines, the backstage energy and every likkle moment in between. Summerjam is not just a festival weekend – it’s where music, people and culture meet. And this year, we’re pulling up with a stronger team and a wider vision.

After covering Summerjam Festival in previous two years, we’re excited to be back in Cologne to document the festival from different angles: the artists, the crowd, the dancers, the food, the fashion, the community and all the moments that carry the culture beyond the stage.

For this edition, we are strengthening our team with two Jamaican creatives, bringing the coverage even closer to the source: Famous returns as our host, bringing his energy, voice and cultural lens back into the coverage,

We’re also linking up with Lumos, a Jamaican creative and visual storyteller who has already been part of the Dancehall Ketch Up journey through our community features from Jamaica. Known for capturing people, places and real-life moments with a grounded eye, Lumos will support us behind the lens at Summerjam 2026.

Our focus remains the same: highlighting Dancehall, Reggae, Jamaican and Caribbean culture with authenticity, respect and real community connection. From performance impressions and short interviews to crowd reactions, cultural moments and spontaneous festival stories – we’re coming to ketch the full vybz.

Summerjam has always been a space where music, culture and people meet. In 2026, Dancehall Ketch Up will be there again to document exactly that.

Stay tuned! We have some exciting things planned for Summerjam 2026, and we can’t wait to share more soon. See you at FΓΌhlinger See!

Update

Dancehall Ketch Up x Vybz Catering

We have something special cooking for Summerjam 2026!

This year, we are also linking up with Vybz Catering and with SK Yardie Patties … at this point, the name is really doing what it’s supposed to do.

Together, we want to bring even more community energy into the festival weekend. So make sure to look out for Dancehall Ketch Up around the festival grounds, because we’re planning little culture quizzes, fun interactions and chances to win food discounts, prizes and maybe even some Dancehall Ketch Up giveaways.

Think Jamaica knowledge, Summerjam moments, food, culture, laughter and likkle pressure in front of the camera. If you see the DK mic, don’t hide! You might just win something.

And while we’re talking about culture beyond the stage: Dancehall will also be moving through the program again. Damion BG is set to host three Dancehall classes at Summerjam 2026, bringing dance, movement and Jamaican street culture directly into the festival experience.

Because for us, Summerjam is not only about who is performing. It’s about who is dancing, who is cooking, who is asking questions, who is sharing stories and who is carrying the culture in every corner of the festival.

So that’s where we’re at: more culture, more community, more food, more movement and more stories beyond the stage. Stay close, because we’ll have more coming soon.

See below for the artist timetable at Summerjam Festival 2026 so you can plan your weekend and ketch the moments with us.
